The Dark Earth Candle Holder

€25.00

A beautiful and sturdy candle holder made from deep dark clay. The candle is tightly held by an inside ring, carved using the kurinuki technique. Small but visible cracks adorn the surface of the clay, giving the illusion that the rock has given way to the candle within.

The outer walls of the candle holder have been manually carved and shaped using the pinching technique. The surface of the clay has been left unworked and as such bears tiny cracks and texture. No part of the candleholder has been glazed to retain the raw aspect of the earth.

This candleholder was crafted for ritualistic purposes. It may also serve as a palo santo rest.
